Conventional western medicine isn’t the only system of healing that effectively restores health. But that’s not any great revelation. If you’ve ever used acupuncture to relieve any of your pain, you’re already familiar with the traditional Chinese medicine.

And of course, while not associated with any one country, herbal medicine is a system of healing that has been widely promoted, used and celebrated world wide. Differences in herbal healing among countries is simply due to the types of plants found in various climates and countries. But the foundation of herbal medicine is the same — and has remained the same for literally thousands of years.

But homeopathy as a form of medicine? If you’ve never heard of it — or its fundamental method of healing — you may be a little skeptical at first.

I know I was. It did little to convince me of homeopathy’s effectiveness to learn that England’s royal family had used it for years and years.

But I was curious. Soon I had learned that homeopathy is a system of medicine based on the theory that you treat the individual’s health condition by administering a highly diluted substance.

This substance then triggers the body’s natural system of healing. What substances you used to treat a person depended on the symptoms of the health condition itself, much as westernmedicine does.

The fundamental tenet of homeopathy is what we may consider the unlikely concept of “like cures like.” In essence, this means that the substance that is the cause of the symptoms is used to cure those same symptoms in an illness.

A perfect example of this is when a person is administered cofea for insomnia. Cofea is a remedy made from coffee (not your typical cure for the inability to sleep!)

Of course, it didn’t help me at all to learn that science has yet to explain homeopathy’s effectiveness. And yes, despite your skepticism, it is very effective for some individuals for some conditions.

However, I’m now learning that some of the knowledge gained in quantum physics helps to explain some of the reasons why homeopathic medicine does work (and it may even help me if I knew something about quantum physics0.

Homepathy must have something going for it, though, I began to realize. After all, it has been used worldwide for more than two centuries.

But more than that, its theories have been used for even longer than that. The theories were developed — and practiced literally back to ancient Greece. Many people around the world have to deal with the common problem of having bad breath. Although, bad breath does not seem like just a common problem when you are dealing with it yourself.  http://dld.bz/dQQmY

Here is another area where you can rack up the energy savings with a minimum of adjustments. In fact, you just need to be open to different ways of performing some simple tasks.

Who says you need to turn the oven on for every hot meal you create?

Consider using the toaster oven for smaller meals. These appliances that easily fit on top of your kitchen countertop use much less energy and heat the house far less. If used properly, you can even become skilled at browning food.

Hand that spatula over to hubby. If the barbecue lies in the realm of the “real man”, then it’s time to enlist his help. When weather permits, plan meals for the barbecue. I know one husband who would stand outdoors in the middle of February (in the cold Midwest weather) to make himself a savory steak. While you don’t have to go to those extremes, you can treat yourself to more barbecued meals and save on your energy bill.

Bring out the crock pot. Not only can you save energy, but you drop the meat in it, turn it on and go to work. When you come home, voila, your meal is waiting for you!

Make more than one item at a time. Why not? Fill the oven with several dishes at the same time. If some of the items call for different temperatures, don’t worry. Unless there’s a vast chasm between the recommended temperature and what you cook it at, you can adjust the cooking times.

Despite what the instructions say, don’t pre-heat that oven. Just allow the food to warm up right along with the oven.

Along the same lines turn the oven off early. Yes, this is a great energy savings trick as well. No need to fear, your food will finish cooking using the residual heat in the oven.

Adjust your cooking to the seasons. What do I mean by this? In the summer, put a lid on it – literally. Keep the hot air and moisture trapped as much as possible in the pan. A lid does just this.

In the winter, cook with lids off your pots. During this time of the year allow the heat and humidity to flow as much as possible.

TVs and Computers

It’s tough these days to enjoy TV and computer use and save energy at the same time.

Oh, sure, the flat-screen TV saves energy, but we all have a tendency to negate that savings by buying even larger screens. And we’re not even talking about the experience of the sound system attached to it.

Don’t sit there so smugly thinking your computer is using any less energy. It, too, is a remarkable energy-guzzling device.

When Off Isn’t Off

Confused? You have every right to be. These days off doesn’t really mean off. Even when your electronics equipment isn’t in use, it’s still drawing power. You can circumvent this situation – and effectively save money and energy – by plugging the equipment into a power strip. Then you simply turn the power strip off.

Similarly, always use that power down feature that comes equipped with your computer. Be sure to turn your computer off when you won’t be using it for extended periods. And don’t forget that printer, too!

Here’s a thought: laptop computers use less power than a desktop. Do you really need a desktop computer – or two or three of them?  http://roseannstreasures1.com

makesolarpanel1If you are interested in learning exactly how to generate power and reduce your bill then this is the perfect resource for you! With the ever-increasing costs of living, there is no better time than right now to stop throwing money out the window and start generating our own electricity.

Over the last few years, I have figured out how to significantly reduce the cost of solar panels, making it more affordable for the average homeowner just like you.

Now you can build a single panel or a complete array of panels to power your home for a fraction of retail cost. I’m going to direct you to my “solar mentor” and he will show you step-by-step how to make a solar panel. He will teach you other secrets to renewable energy in an easy to follow format.

Did you know that a basic solar installation from a retailer can take 30 years to pay back and cost you well over $20,000?

This is simply too much for many to afford and the payback time is far too long. This has prompted me to do some research into how the solar panels are created and how I could make them myself.

I soon realized that it was possible to make solar panels for MUCH cheaper than retail price, saving me thousands. Moreover, it was actually easier than I thought!

That’s when I decided to follow this guide, it helped me tremendously. If you have already contacted your local solar supplier then I’m sure you already know how expensive installation can be.

You probably thought – “That’s far too much for me to afford”. But now there is an easy to follow guide that will show you exactly how to make solar panels for much cheaper than retail cost. This guide and video series was made so people just like you can save thousands on your solar panel system.

Are you looking for a new way to provide energy to your home? In today’s world, the race is on for the next fuel efficient energy source.

One thing that you are likely to do is to keep on eye out for what is new when you are purchasing something new. For example, let us say that you are looking to purchase a new hot water tank. There are plenty of hot water tanks that work off of gas or even electricity. But, this would be a great time to consider a solar powered one as well.

There are many appliances being made each year that offer a new and improved type of fuel source. You will find these are more expensive, in many cases, than a standard tool. Yet, that does not mean they should not be considered.

Alternative Options

There are many different types of alternative fuel options on the market. For example, one of the most widely known and fast becoming popular type of alternative fuel is that of solar powered fuel. This type of fuel comes from the sun, a renewable source that is also free to use.

There are plenty of solar powered products available from lighting fixtures for outdoors to solar powered hot water tanks and much more. These all work in the same way. They take in the solar rays from the sun during the day light hours and store them so that when you call for energy, you can easily access it any time that it is needed.

While they may cost more to purchase, just consider the fact that they really cost nothing to use. The better quality products are even reliable in areas where there is not a lot of sunshine all day long either.

Yet, beyond solar power, there are other fuel sources that are coming about. There are cars and other appliances (including your furnace) that could soon be run on corn power. Corn, yes the stuff you eat! This too is another renewable source of fuel.

Here is a cool Energy tip http://www.roseannstreasures1.com/make-solar-panels-i-can-show-you-how

1. Find a location that’s quiet and where you know you won’t be bothered. You are looking for ten to twenty minutes of undisturbed meditation here. Turn off all telephones and anything else that could become a distraction.
2. Now, sit comfortably and quietly. Keep your back in position with your spine vertically aligned. Remember that posture is something that you need to make happen.
3. Commit to what you are doing right now. That means not allowing distraction to play a role now. Commit to not being interrupted by anything happening in the world around you. Most importantly, remove anything from the room or from your line of view that could be a potential distraction. Commit to performing meditation.

4. Select a word that fits into your natural belief system. For example, use “love” “peace” or others. If you are religious, select a work of a short phrase that signifies what you believe. “Hallelujah” or “Om” make good
choices. Close your eyes once you’ve selected the right word. Closing your eyes helps you to enter into relaxation.
5. Now, we’ll go through the body and relax each of the muscles in it. Start with your toes. Consciously think to yourself that your toes should relax and feel them relax. Next, move to your feet, your legs and so on. You want to allow each of your muscles to relax. Make sure to include your neck, your jaw, your pelvis, back, your arms, fingers and hands, and shoulders. As this happens, feel the tension leave your body.
6. Continue to breathe through the process in deep, long breathes and repeat your mediation word over and over again. Breathe in, say your word, breathe out, and repeat. You don’t need to say the word out loud, but rather mentally pronounce it.
7. Use the passive attitude that we’ve talked about. If any thoughts come into your mind while you are sitting, relaxing, let them go out simply by telling yourself “oh well.” Most people will have trouble with this at first, so don’t worry about how well you are doing. Just let go of those words the best that you can. Keep repeating your meditation word, too.

8. Keep this going for ten minutes at least and strive for twenty. Don’t use any alarm to warn you, just open your eyes for a moment to check.
9. Sit and relax for several minutes once you’ve come out of your meditation. Keep your eyes closed for a couple of minutes before opening them. Don’t stand up just yet. Allow yourself time to come back into reality before doing so.
You should try to do this simple meditation at least once a day but two or more times per day really can have a positive effect on your daily stresses. Many people find that this simple meditation works well before they get their day started, when they are fully rested and before they have eaten breakfast.
When you have practiced this type of mediation for several days or even longer, you should learn the benefits of meditation and what it can offer. If you don’t feel any different, you may not be following each step appropriately. You need to focus on relaxation not on whether or not meditation is going to heal all of you.

When you do accomplish this form of meditation, try out some of the others that we’ve included here http://www.roseannstreasures1.com/what-happens-during-meditation.
